He married Agatha Young Huer in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, April 5, 1920. Agatha was born in New South Wales, Australia July 12, 1898. Agatha was the daughter of John Joseph Huer and Frances Jane Young. Agatha died July 30, 1970 in New South Wales, Australia, at 72 years of age.
