He married Cheryl Sue Vost in Fairfield, N.s.w, Aust, December 22, 1968. Cheryl was born in Sydney, N.s.w, Aust August 5, 1949. Cheryl is the daughter of Alan George Vost and Mal Farrar.

Thomas James Palmer and Cheryl Sue Vost had the following children:

2 i. Megan² Palmer was born in Townsville, Qld, Aust February 8, 1971.

3 ii. Beth Palmer was born in Parramatta, N.s.w, Aust November 15, 1972.

4 iii. Eve Palmer was born in Ayr, Nth Qld, Aust August 4, 1977.
