He married Lorna Newton in St Andrews, Summer Hill, New South Wales, Australia, December 1, 1951. Lorna was born in Dulwich Hill, New South Wales, Australia August 21, 1929. Lorna is the daughter of Cecil Newton and Marionette Louisa Smith.

Bruce Charles Hopper and Lorna Newton had the following children:

2 i. David Bruce² Hopper was born in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia March 29, 1954.

3 ii. Amanda Louise Hopper was born in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia October 13, 1955. She married twice. She married Peter Charles Jackson in New South Wales, Australia, May 22, 1976. She married Michael Kevin Clifford in St Marys, Waverly, New South Wales, Australia, June 2, 1984. Michael was born in Randwick, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia August 13, 1949. 4 iii. Keith Charles Hopper was born in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia August 14, 1957. Keith died May 21, 1985 at 27 years of age.
