He married Marion Alice Perry in Bangalow, New South Wales, Australia, January 12, 1921. Marion was born in Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia February 22, 1897. Marion was the daughter of Herbert Walter Perry and Kate Alice Smith. Marion died December 1, 1981 in Morisset, New South Wales, Australia, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred 1981 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

Francis Oliver Virtue and Marion Alice Perry had the following children:
