38. Henry Augustus⁶ Oakes (Augustus John⁵, Henry Robert⁴, Thomas³, Matthew², Matthew¹) was born in The Oakes, Macleay River, New South Wales, Australia November 17, 1851. Henry died December 20, 1910 in Hapsburg, Queensland, Australia, at 59 years of age.

He married Anna Ker August 19, 1883. Anna was born in Yarra, Macleay River, New South Wales, Australia September 27, 1864. Anna was the daughter of Campbell Ker.

Henry Augustus Oakes and Anna Ker had the following children:

71 i. Preston⁷ Oakes. Preston died about 1918 in Killed Great War.
