4 iii. Mary Whitewood was born in Portsmouth, Hants, England March 16, 1722. Mary died October 6, 1781 in Portsea, Hants, England, at 59 years of age. She married Matthew Oakes in Saint Thomas, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, July 24, 1746. Matthew was born in Portsea, Hants, England February 25, 1710. Matthew was the son of Matthew Oakes. 5 iv. Michael Whitewood was born in Portsmouth, Hants, England October 7, 1724.
