3. Henry Augustus Montagu² Cosby Sir (Alexander¹) was born in Minorca 1743. Henry died January 17, 1822 in Bath, Somerset, England, at 78 years of age. His body was interred January 25, 1822 in Bath Cathedral, Bath, Somerset, England.

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Marsh. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Marsh. Elizabeth died November 3, 1771 in Cuddalore, India. He married Ann Eliot in Marpoole, Exmouth, England, August 20, 1793. Ann was born 1765. Ann was the daughter of Samuel Eliot and Alice Byam. Ann died May 24, 1817 at 51 years of age. Her body was interred in Bath Cathedral, Bath, Somerset, England.

He was christened in St George`s, Fort Mahon, Minorca. Extensive history available.

8 iii. Elizabeth Ann Cosby was born October 18, 1766. Elizabeth died October 22, 1787 at 21 years of age. She married Thomas Oakes in St George`s, St George, Madras, India, June 12, 1786. Thomas was born in England October 23, 1752. Thomas was the son of Matthew Oakes and Mary Whitewood. Thomas died December 29, 1834 in Bath, Somerset, England, at 82 years of age. 9 iv. Henry Smith Cosby Capt was born in Madras, India 1768. Henry died May 2, 1799 in Killed In Action, Seringapatam, India, at 30 years of age. Ensign 8th Aug 1778. Lt 20 Feb 1783. Capt 1 Jun 1796. 10 v. Augusta Louisa Cosby was born 1765. Augusta died December 16, 1862 in Bath, Somerset, England, at 97 years of age. Her body was interred 1862 in Abbey Cemetery, Widcombe, Devon, England. She married William Samuel Wilder Wilder Rev after 1820. William was born in England 1796. William was the son of John Francis Wilder Sir. William died August 22, 1863 in Bath, Somerset, England, at 67 years of age. His body was interred August 1863 in Abbey Cemetery, Widcombe, Devon, England.

11 vi. Phillips Cosby Capt was born 1800. Phillips died June 27, 1826 in Madras, India, at 25 years of age. His body was interred 1826. Died unmarried. Named after Phillips Cosby Admiral of the Red.
